Battle Bot Challenge 2008

Early this month, CTWorkshop organized a Battle Bot Challenge at Bangsar Village II on the 6 & 7 December 2008. The Battle Bot Challenge, the first of its kind in Malaysia, is an exciting robotics competition which had teams of two building and modifying a battle vehicle according to their own creative strategies. The aim was to push the opponent out of the arena and to be the 'Last standing robot'. There were two categories which are according to age groups. Category A was on 6 December and Category B on 7 December. Each team was given one hour building time which participant’s were require to build their vehicle as strategically as possible. The two-day event was filled with lots of loud cheers from parents and participants especially during the knock-out sessions. Introducing the Full Time Staff at CTWorkshop!

The poster above features all CTWorkshop staff. Our full time staff teach at all partnering international schools for the Extra- Curricular Actitvities (ECA) and at both Centrepoint and Bangsar Village branches. Ender, our co-ordinator is in charge of all the schedules and administration of our programs. Our enthusiastic staff is ever ready to help you with any queries on all our programs.

Australian International School Malaysia visits CTWorkshop!

On the 29th of July 2008, about 20 children between ages 4-6 from the Australian International School Malaysia made a visit to CTWorkshop at Bangsar Village. The staff at CTWorkshop prepared a 2 hour program for the kids with a Medieval theme. The kids were divided into 6 groups. Each group built a castle and a gator jack(dragon) and they also had to color some pictures of princes, princesses and a dragon. With all they had built, they had to use it for their animation movie. The kids had a good time building their castles while letting their imaginations expand. in the midst of having fun, the kids got to know about what people did back in the medieval times and how things were back then. The instructors had a good time working with the kids. By the end of the 2 hours, each group had completed their animation with sound effects. The kids had a great time especially during the hands on experience activities.

Farewells and Welcomes at CTWorkshop..

Recently, all CTWorkshop staff gathered for dinner to celebrate a few occasions such as saying farewell to some of our instructors, celebrating one of our instructors graduation and also to welcome our new instructors. Preetika, Ka Fai (Keff),Nigel,and Jeffrey has left us to go back to finish their studies while Annette has left due to other commitments.On behalf of all of us at CTWorkshop, we would like to thank them for all their contribution towards the excitement of our activities and the enrichment of our students. Congratulations to our Co-ordinator, Ender Pal on her graduation from University Malaya. Last but not the least , we would like to extend a very warm welcome to our new instructors which are Shalini, Rachel,and Kaneson. We are looking forward to working with them.

CTWorkshop is now in Ampang!!!

Children’s Technology Workshop will be at a new location at ‘Teeny Tiny Tapir’ in Ampang located on 9 Lorong Damai 9. Surrounded by a spacious, homey environment and an impressive garden space with an activities area catering to our Workshop Clubs. We will be offering Apprentice, Engineer and Animation every Friday, starting in October 2008.
